The Incident Log provides an overview of all activities related to the particular incident, and contains information drawn from a variety of other modules within CIM. Each incident registered in CIM has its own log and provides a full audit trail of, for example:

  • Notifications/alerts sent
  • Meetings
  • Information received
  • Tasks assigned/completed
  • Media interaction and press statements
  • Next-of-kin update

As an administrator of CIM, your business can choose which information from which module appears in the log and in turn, which individuals or roles can see those pieces of information. For example, you might specify that members of the media team can only see ‘published’ information in their log.


Log entries can also have flags assigned to them, to facilitate their display on information boards .
