Frøya Municipality consists of 5 400 islands, and has around 5 000 residents. In January 2014 a huge fire tore through the main island. 7% of the total land area was affected and 200 people were evacuated from their homes. The fire attracted interest from both national and international media.

Head of Emergency Management in Frøya Municipality, Marit Norborg talkes about how their crisis management system CIM helped them in handling the incident.
